What do I do best?
I inspire others to shine! To get their message out to a wider audience, to attract customer client and media attention for their product or service. I love interviewing people and bringing out the best in them, and helping them to be their own best PR. I’m also great at inspiring people to choose a more holistic way of living with my ‘imperfectly natural’ approach, meaning you can choose organic, natural, eco, without sacrificing and maybe you don’t get it all right, but the small change big difference approach counts.
What makes me the best version of myself?
Determination, passion enthusiasm and in more recent years optimism and gratitude
What are my aspirations?
On a personal level I want to be in optimum health and practice more gratitude and meditation – I find it hard but I do ‘show up’ I also want to be able to support my 4 kids as they continue on their paths. On a business level I SO want my first novel to be published and successful this year and I’d love to gain a higher profile on TV / speaking gigs to continue to encourage people to more holistic living…oh and I’d LOVE to be a contestant on Strictly !
My Biggest Success?
Without doubt the fact that my first book Imperfectly Natural Woman became an Amazon Number One best seller overnight after I was a guest on a BBC radio show was cool, it knocked The Da Vinci Code off the top spot, since then being voted Number One in Who’s who in natural beauty industry yearbook,
My Most Challenging Moment?
Before working in radio I was a backing singer, I worked with a band who were very successful but the lead singer wanted her backing singers to cut their hair short and dye it bright yellow. I had naturally blonde very long hair, I chose to leave the band, it was tough but within a couple of months I had a gig as a backing singer with George Michael and Wham, which would never have happened, so I’m grateful!
You don’t have to get it right, you DO have to get it going, and another which I try to remember when family members wind me up….It’s better to be kind …than right.
My Favorite People/Role Models?
The late Louise Hay, I’m blessed to be a Hay House author and radio presenter, she was incredible and an inspiration to anyone wanting to start a business later in life.
My Favorite Places/Destinations?
In the UK its St Ives in Cornwall, a magical seaside resort, I’m convinced I lived there in a former life,
I also love Manhattan, and San Francisco, Sausalito especially but rarely get to visit sadly
My Favorite Products/Objects?
I love all my organic skincare and haircare, if I had to keep one thing only it would be my raw extra virgin cold pressed coconut oil – it has a multitude of uses.
My Current Passions?
Walking by the sea is what I need to recharge my batteries, I have loved writing my first novel and really hope it will be a success I am planning more speaking gigs in 2018 and would love to tour the US, I am ever passionate about my radio work on BBC Radio 2 even though I have been there for 17 years, and I currently also present shows for Hay House Radio which is a wonderful opportunity to interview the world’s leading experts in spirituality health and wellbeing.
