What do you love most about Your City?

I absolutely love all the culture in New York City! Every day there are dozens of world-class concerts and museum exhibits, as well as every kind of cuisine you can imagine.  If you don’t take advantage of it, there’s no point living here.

Favorite breakfast meal & restaurant?

I drink a giant glass of fresh vegetable juice for breakfast every weekday. It gives me amazing energy.

For an elegant dinner I’ll head for Koi restaurant.  But all my REAL favorites are all tiny hole-in-the-wall ethnic spots. For example Omar’s Meditarranean Cuisine.

What are you doing at:

6:00 AM - I’ve been doing an hour-long ‘morning ritual’ every day for years:  I meditate, then drink coffee, listen to a playlist of my most inspiring music, and intensively concentrate on every single thing in life I’m grateful for.  When I’m done I feel amazing - I’m ready to jump through the clouds.

10:00 AM - At 10 AM I usually work on a blog. Here’s a recent example I’m proud of – quite a cool little story: How to Create an App Launch Video that Actually Works

12:00 PM - Favorite Power Lunch spot / meal?

Our office is right near Central Park - I love eating lunch there.  I usually eat a giant salad with a whole avocado.  Eating very light during the day gives me maximum energy.

7:00 PM - I set this time aside to review progress on whatever videos or commercials we’re making.  Here’s a cool one we produced this summer: Formula E Racing Championship

11:00 PM - My wife and I watch a little TV - usually comedy or a documentary.  Something very light.

What drink do you need to get through the day and at the end (and how many)?

I drink 2 cups of great coffee first thing every morning, and 2 glasses of white when I’m winding down for bed.

Most used App / favorite Instagram account?

I use Spotify practically 24/7.  Best app ever.  Instagram:  normansrareguitars is a lot of fun.

What should everyone try at least once?

Skydiving.  Actually you need to try it twice because the first time your brain will probably just shut off.  Many people barely remember their first jump. The second time is the one you’ll treasure forever!

Where do you enjoy getting lost?

I’ve enjoyed getting lost all over the planet!  But I fondly recall a long bicycle trip in the countryside in the deep south of Vietnam where I had no idea where I was. I met possibly the friendliest people anywhere in the Mekong Delta. They didn’t speak a word of English, but they invited me into their homes, fed me amazing meals, and showed me the direction to the right road.  Amazing experience!
