Beth Stuart started teaching vinyasa flow yoga after discovering the transformative power of the practice while attending college in New York City. She is known for her playful and creative sequencing, upbeat music, and spiritual guidance. Beth sees yoga as a moving meditation and strives to help her students color outside the lines of their practice by inspiring them to be curious and open. Whatever draws you to Beth's classes won't leave you disappointed and you will leave with far more than you could have ever imagined. Her words stay with you and spark necessary self inquiry. Beth has studied with some of the world's leading yoga teachers, including Schuyler Grant, David Regelin, Tiffany Cruikshank, and Kathryn Budig—and she constantly seeks out new training in order to grow her own practice and teaching. Off the mat, Beth practices the yoga of mothering with her greatest teacher of all, 7-year-old Jack.
What do I do best?
I think one of my greatest strengths is the way in which I feel. I feel deeply and I think that intensified when I had my son. My son has autism so he feels at an extreme level. Through my son and yoga i’ve learned that so much is said in silence. The energetic language is powerful and we just have to get quiet enough to hear it. When i walk into one of my classes, I can literally feel the room. Each person and their contribution to the energy as a collective. I speak always from that place of feeling first.
What makes me the best version of myself?
I’m a libra so im on a constant quest for Balance. Everything in my life needs to feel balanced and fair in order for me to actively participate in it. I like to think that ingredient helps me each day strive towards my best self.
What are my aspirations?
I wish to help people find their authentic voices and learn to trust that inner knowing. To be a reminder that the pursuit is not one of perfection but continual growth. So we must learn to sit with sensations in all their forms, one sensation will move into another, I learn to ride the wave.
My Biggest Success?
My son and studio in Hailey,ID - idaYOGA.
My Most Challenging Moment?
There have been many. It’s always challenging to follow your inner knowing, when you know that you know and you must follow that honest direction no matter how hard it is. That’s life though right? Learning to adjust your sails based of off what no longer serves you.
I’m constantly asking myself and my students….What’s your purpose? I think with anything in life as long as we know our purpose then our direction and message is clear.
Also tattooed on my arm is “I never give up, but i always let go.”
My Favorite People/Role Models?
Easy. My mom and my son.
My mother has the most compassionate, giving heart out of anyone i’ve ever met. Yet, at the same time she takes no bullshit. A beautiful balance of the supremely giving feminine and the strength of the masculine. A warrior princess.
My son. He is the most patient person I know. He lives in a world that promotes everything he struggles with. He has to work each breath to remain even and calm when the mass stimulus of life surrounds him. He is incredible to watch. My greatest teacher.
My Favorite Places/Destinations?
Travel feeds my soul. A few of my favorite places are Bali, Thailand, New Zealand and Peru! I lead Yoga retreats so I’m fortunate to travel a lot!
My Favorite Products/Objects?
I like to keep things really simple. I think i get ready faster than most guys ;)
I do love Paul Mitchell’s Tea tree shampoo and conditioner and Smith’s Rose Balm Salve
My Current Passions?
This question I could write a novel on. Passion is an extremely important ingredient in my life. I have “Passion Seeker” Tattooed on my arm.
My studio idaYOGA! This studio is for everyBODY. It’s a place where people come to heal and deal. I feel honored to facilitate such a space. I’m passionate about holding space for people so they can begin to learn how to hold it for themselves. I’m passionate about teaching and helping people find their own authentic voice. I’m passionate about encouraging people to be confident in their skin. I’m passionate about love. I’ve always said that lukewarm love is not enough for me.
I’m passionate about spreading awareness on Autism and acceptance of what appears to be different. Different is beautiful, not weird.
