What do I do best?
Mediation - seeing the merits of both sides of an argument - especially in the political realm and showing people how compromise is key to solving all relationship problems, whether it be between Democrats and Republicans or a boyfriend and girlfriend.
What makes me the best version of myself?
Consistency - the greatest challenge of building a startup is being able to roll with the punches. In all areas of life not just business there are good days and bad days, if you cannot endure failure you will likely fail before you can realize success.
What are my aspirations?
I aspire to empower others and make the world a better place than it was before I got here. My personal goals are my business goals. If I succeed at creating the political social network I have set out to build then in turn I will have given society a tool to better themselves and create more accountability and transparency in government. Empowering others by giving them a tool to empower themselves.
My Biggest Success?
One of my proudest moments was completing my 14 months of Military training and 3 years of service. Although a physical challenge, the mental endurance required to do so taught me invaluable life lessons.
My Most Challenging Moment?
Around the time I started working on Allyus I was offered a job at a great company with good potential for growth and the ability to travel to various tech conferences. I would have been working with a close friend and advisor doing something I loved. Turning down that job and pushing myself to create more traction in order to justify continuing to dedicate myself to the startup was a defining moment to say the least.
One of my favorite quotes is by Les Brown, he says “Never say you're having a bad day...say you're having a character building day”
Looking at failures as a vital part of success allows you to not let them bring you down but rather motivate you to continue pursuing success.
Turn stumbling blocks into stepping stones
My Favorite People/Role Models?
Although a little cliche it is Elon Musk - Due to his ability to merge innovation with a successful business he is showing the world that profits can be attained while being socially responsible. Making the world a better place while making money and never giving up on his goals and vision makes him someone to aspire to. Not to mention he is pushing the boundaries of space travel and showing the world that anything is possible if you set your mind to it.
My Favorite Places/Destinations?
I really enjoyed my time in Brazil, I think that the people there have a strong appreciation for life and therefore take less for granted. Being there I felt that although the country has its challenges the people do not let the negative aspects affect their positive outlook towards life and their ability to appreciate the little things. Not to mention I was there when they impeached their President. It was incredible and truly inspiring to witness such a mass mobilization against corruption.
My Favorite Products/Objects?
I aspire to own a Tesla, not because its necessarily better for the environment but because supporting the company that champions alternative energy production and the mass adoption of electric cars moves society towards a better place and will make the future transition off of fossil fuels a smoother one, not to mention they will soon have self drive technology. As well as the app Shazam, my life would have less good music without it.
My Current Passions?
I am passionate about the future of Blockchain technology. I like to equate the internet and email to cryptocurrency and blockchain in the sense that these are both very basic use cases of the technology. I believe the future of Blockchain has enormous potential to empower mankind and make the world a better place and I await the day that the technology becomes more scalable and widely adopted.
