What do I do best?
I communicate the essence of the information in a way that is applicable and answers questions before someone knows to ask them.
What makes me the best version of myself?
I have good health habits that give me consistent energy, resilience, and creativity.
What are my aspirations?
Personally: I want to live every breath with optimism, energy, and health to do the things I love to do with the people I love to do them with.
In Business: I want to positively influence the fitness industry and specifically provide better options for women in midlife and beyond to age without settling or accepting what a specific age means. We need to raise the glass ceiling.
My Biggest Success?
I started over at 49, taking a big risk leaping from a safe, secure job and future and did in in fear and far out of my comfort zone not seeing the net, pretty much alone.
My Most Challenging Moment?
Making the decision to move out of state – after 49 years living there – with my house not yet under contract, my belongings sitting in boxes in the middle of rooms throughout my house - with a dog, 2 computers, and a couple suitcases in my car to live in the basement apartment with my niece’s family. It made a relationship, a career, and my future final.
It’s all figuroutable. If no one is bleeding or dying it’s not that big a deal.
My Favorite People/Role Models?
They’ve each been through a tragedy themselves and they’ve recovered and used the lessons they’ve learned to help others and grow personally.
JJ Virgin, Tom Durkin – who’s consistently been successful in nearly 40 years in the fitness industry in the Midwest, my grandmother who long before it was the “norm” escaped a bad marriage, was divorced, followed her passion and remained connected to people handwriting personal meaningful holiday notes until she died at age 100.
My Favorite Places/Destinations?
I love Hawaii and Cozumel. If I’d vacationed at more beaches they’d probably be on the list too.
My Favorite Products/Objects?
I really like a big coffee mug and my pour-over coffee maker. I cried both when my favorite mug broke and my pour over carafe got broke. I love my high-powered blenders (Nutribullet and Vitamix) and my awesome (Sleep Number) bed. I love PJ Salvage pajamas. I have an affinity for stacks of yellow legal pads and good pens. The possibilities that lie in empty drawing pads and notebooks inspire me.
My Current Passions?
I love learning and geek all things marketing. When you have something of value and can message the people you can help in a way that they are compelled to take action and improve their lives, it’s magic.
Researching hormone balance and exercise and then making that accessible to other people is consuming my life every day right now and – as much as I love sleep - I can’t wait to get up in the morning.
