Hello, I’m Dr. Leslie Korn. I’m a Harvard Medical School-trained traumatologist specializing in mental health nutrition and integrative approaches to treating the mind and body. My life and career has taken me to both Harvard and the jungle of Mexico with many stops in between. I am a passionate advocate for and believer in culturally traditional medicines used by people around the world. How did I come to know so much about this and make it my life’s work? Read my story…
What do I do best?
The body tells the story that the mind cannot bear to share. As a clinician and healer I “Read the Body” and I understand and interpret the story of the body’s symptoms to help my clients recover their physical and emotional health and to achieve optimal well being.
What makes me the best version of myself?
I was born questioning authority and I shall continue to until I pass. I lived and learned from the jungle of Mexico for decades and I have tackled the jungle of Harvard, both important locations for knowing truth, deeply.
What are my aspirations?
My current personal aspiration is simple: to do a shoulder stand as easily I did when I was 20..I’m almost there!
Business wise I am writing my 8th book on Herbal Medicine for Women, and my goal is that my books about how to use natural medicine to recover from trauma and how to eat and cook for a healthy brain and mind reach a wide and varied global audience . My goal is to help stop the senseless (over) medication of children and adults with challenging health problems
My Biggest Success?
Founding and operating a natural medicine pro bono clinic in the jungle of Mexico for over 25 years.
My Most Challenging Moment?
Learning to manage bigotry and close mindedness in others when it counts the most.
The Loving kindness Meditation
May I be happy. May I be well. May I be safe. May I be peaceful and at ease.
May you be happy, May you be well May you be safe, May you be peaceful and at ease
