What do I do best?
I’m the best lazy person you know because I’m a big fan of exponential energy. Most people sit around all day pretending to work, doing about an hour of real grind time. I set micro-deadlines throughout the day and then go as hard as I can to make them. But those deadlines are awesome self-motivators: a walk on the beach, a pilates class. I wouldn’t be surprised if my neighbors thought I was jobless.
What makes me the best version of myself?
I was blessed with parents who taught me I wasn’t owed anything. Everything I do I earn. It keeps you humble, it reminds you that you aren’t fancy, it keeps you going and working hard, and it keeps you nice to everyone.
What are my aspirations?
I love doing all the things. Research, hands-on consulting, data analytics, cooking, family, fitness, health, my aspiration is to do it all.
My Biggest Success?
Training myself to not act like a complete fool during my public speaking engagements. In grad school I used to turn purple and literally fall over. I do a lot of speaking engagements now, and I love them because they scare me so much. It sounds silly but not turning purple is a big win for an awkward introvert.
My Most Challenging Moment?
Cutting out people who bring me down, and really, being able to spot them. People with big hearts tend to be less happy. It’s just a trend I noticed. The hardest thing is to keep your heart in check and only allow people close who are value-adds. It’s a constant battle.
Success and positivity! Yell that at yourself in the mirror every day 10x for 30 years and see what happens.
My Favorite People/Role Models?
I’m completely unafraid to say that Kim Kardashian is my role model. What if I described the most successful female entrepreneur in technology, and then told you she was more bold, beautiful and famous than the most successful movie icon? Most women would say “wow”. I don’t understand what there is to hate about that. I watch and learn.
My Favorite Places/Destinations?
There are two really amazing hidden gems in Miami. One is called The Overtown Youth Center and the other is called Chapman Partnership. My friends and I volunteer each month. Check them out immediately.
My Favorite Products/Objects?
If you can afford it, vitamin IV’s are a health-hack game changer if you travel constantly. I’m obsessed with IV’s and cryotherapy for body rejuvenation.
My Current Passions?
Abandon light talk immediately. Deep and random conversations with diverse people will lead you everywhere. That, and podcasts, would be my two passions.
