What do I do best?

What I do best is combining the logical and the creative. I have been fortunate to be strong in both. I love problem solving as much as I love creating. This has been why I have excelled in my career as a software engineer, which is essentially applying logical concepts in a creative way. It’s also the reason that I am so passionate about my business, where I get to combine art and science in recipe development, health research, photography, video production, writing, and business strategy.

What makes me the best version of myself?

My ambition to constantly improve and create, and also regularly take time to reflect. I am happiest when I am constantly doing.  At the same time, it’s important to step back and assess that my actions are driving me toward my greater goals and supporting my values. I do weekly and monthly reviews to plan and evaluate. I also use a model calendar to ensure that I make time for the things that matter most.

What are my aspirations?

My person aspiration is to be the best mother that I can be to my children and best wife to my husband. My family is extremely important to me. My business goals include publishing a cookbook, releasing mobile applications, reaching over 5 million viewers per month on my website, creating products that will help people in a profound way… the list goes on.

My Biggest Success?

My biggest personal success is my kids - they bring me more joy than anything else in the world. My biggest professional success is my recipe website. I could have never imagined that I would be reaching millions of people each month with it, and I am so excited and humbled to do it.

My Most Challenging Moment?

My most challenging time was in my late teen years and early 20’s. I struggled with debilitating depression, which had a profound impact on my relationships and personal growth. Fortunately, I was able to overcome it and it has made me immensely stronger as a person. It has also helped me gain perspective on life. I appreciate every single day that much more and am driven to make each one count.

My Motto?

I have two, though I have seen variations regarding who the original authors are:

"Life isn't about how many breaths you take - it's about the moments that take your breath away."

"Being happy doesn't mean that everything is perfect. It means that you've decided to look beyond the imperfections."

These two quotes encompass that we are responsible for our own happiness, and how so much of it is about perspective.

My Favorite People/Role Models?

So many different people inspire me. Instead of focusing on any one particular person, I prefer to look for the best in each person. I think everyone has something to offer that I can learn from.

My Favorite Places/Destinations?

Paris. I love Europe in general, but especially Paris. I have completely fallen for all of its magic.

My Favorite Products/Objects?

Coffee. My DSLR. Comfortable jeans. Eggs (my favorite food). Mascara. My laptop.

My Current Passions?

Self-improvement in personal life and in business. I am constantly striving to do more, be more, and never stop learning.
