A member of the founding exhale team and co-creator of the company’s highly publicized fitness programs, Fred Devito is EVP of Teacher Training for Exhale. He is responsible for the teacher training curriculum, program quality and safety. As a lead trainer and fitness expert in the barre and well being industry, Fred has been featured in the New York Times, Fitness Magazine, New York Magazine, Shape Magazine, USA Today as well as appearances on Fox 5, Good Morning America and CBS News. Along with his wife, Elisabeth Halfpapp, Fred has created choreographed and starred in 11 Exhale Core Fusion DVD’s, co-authored the Barre Fitness Book and is a contributing teacher on both YogaVibes.com and Forte.fit.com.
What do I do best?
I am a teacher, teacher trainer and upright jazz bass player. These for more than 35 years……. I have found my calling!
What makes me the best version of myself?
I truly care about people. I try to do good and see the good in people always.
What are my aspirations?
To always be authentic, real and flexible in my thinking. As a business leader, I want my work by example, to be my calling card and legacy.
My Biggest Success?
Finding the love of my life, Elisabeth Halfpapp, when I was 17 years old.
My Most Challenging Moment?
Deciding to leave a 20-year career as a leader at the Lotte Berk Method and start exhale mind body spa in 2002.
