Igal Dahan: Master-jeweler

My NativeAdVantage:

Fifth-generation, French master-jeweler Igal Dahan, affectionately called The James Bond of Jewelry, launched his new fine-art, precious-gem line, The Eros Collection. He doesn’t carry a gun, but his “Diamonds Are Forever”. He’s a chic jet-setter who has lived in five countries (France, Belgium, Thailand, Israel, USA), designs The Saturnalia Collection of fine-art, pink and blue sapphire pieces (Price points between $27,860 and $47,860) and has a tender approach to his artistry with a sophisticated eye for beauty.  Celebs including Elton John, Kim Kardashian, The Hilton Sisters and Matt Damon have worn his pieces and his previous Cuffs of Love line has been distributed in 26 countries. Now, Igal is launching The Eros Collection, his fine-art line of precious-stone pieces (Price points between $1,350 and $4,500). The Eros Collection, inspired by the Greek god of love, speaks to aspects of love and the symbolism of jewelry as a celebration of love.

Everyone is born with a different capacity and talent.  If you use it, you will not live with regret.  I was blessed with an eye for design. The secret of design is that, first, you must have the vision. Second, you have to establish in your mind the way you can create it. Third, you bring it to the world.  Fourth, you ask for the blessings.

I am the best version of myself when I recognize my mistakes. Recognizing your mistakes doesn't make you inferior. That's how you become stronger and better. The mistakes teach you how to be better. It’s important to learn from everyone.

My aspirations have always been to follow in my father’s, grandfather’s and great grandfather’s footsteps.  I am very proud to be a fifth-generation jeweler. My dream had always been to be the best version of myself and now my dream has become reality. I am wishing this for everyone.

My biggest success started when I was 3-years-old.  My father began to show me each piece of jewelry that he was creating.  My second biggest success has been being able to sell precious stones to the biggest jewelers in the world.  By doing this, I learned from all of the top people in my industry.

My most challenging moment was when I made the decision to move to the United States.  When I was younger, my family and I would always vacation in the USA.  Once we grew up, my older brother decided to settle in Florida and my sister and parents in California.  Even though I loved living in Paris, I wanted to be closer to my family because we all have such a loving and supporting relationship between us.  I decided to make the move to Beverly Hills, California, even though I didn’t speak much English at the time.  I wanted to be closer to my family and, of course, enjoy the sunshine.  At the time, this was my most challenging moment, but, looking back, it was the best decision I ever made. I have always had The American Dream.

If you can capture the essence of a good moment, and realize that it's a good moment, the pleasure is even greater.

My favorite people and role models are my parents, family and friends.  I am so thankful and blessed to have amazing people around me.

I am in love with this beautiful world.  Traveling is most definitely a passion of mine.  Some of my favorite places are Paris, The French Rivera, Thailand, Las Vegas, The Bahamas, and The Maldives.

My favorite things are, of course, precious stones.  I appreciate how they came from the ground and become so beautiful.  I take enjoyment in seeing emerging trends coming out in the fashion industry.  I also love fine watches, art, and a glass of 1942 Don Julio on the rocks.

My passion is to create beautiful pieces of jewelry.  My happiness to see people wear the pieces with love and prosperity.
