What do I do best?
Writing and telling stories. I love creating stories with characters we can relate to. Characters who are both vulnerable and flawed. I love directing the stories I have created and sharing my vision with others.
What makes me the best version of myself?
I am very artistic and creative and I am also very disciplined. When I put my mind to work and focus on something I really want to attain, I give it my all. I don’t like doing things half way. I am very committed and I like to pursue what I want till the end.
What are my aspirations?
I want to continue growing both personally and professionally. Life is a journey and we learn a lot along the way. It helps us grow and better ourselves. I want to become a better version of myself both as a woman and as a filmmaker.
On a professional level, I want to seize more opportunities as a writer and director. I want to direct my second feature and my first TV pilot. I know it is a very tough business, but I also know that perseverance and hard work are key to success!
My Biggest Success?
My first feature film won in a few films festivals and was finalist in others. It has also been distributed domestically as well as internationally. Additionally my second feature screenplay and my first TV pilot are doing really well in screenplay festivals as first runner up as well as finalist and semi finalists.
My Most Challenging Moment?
My most challenging moment was when I was in pre-production for my first feature and my dog died from cancer 3 days prior to principal photography. It was very hard emotionally and it took a toll on me while in production. In addition to that I had some other problems occur during productions that I had to deal with. And it was really hard!
Act on your dreams. We all have dreams, but it is important to act on those dreams by pursuing them with hard work and perseverance.
My Favorite People/Role Models?
My favorite role model was Romy Schneider. She was an amazing actress, a great mother and a very vocal activist, when it comes to women issues and abortion. And that was in the 1960’s and 1970’s. She was my hero growing up. She represented what a woman should and could be: A hugely talented professional, a loving mother and wife and also an activist for women’s rights. She stood up unwaveringly to what she believed in.
My Favorite Places/Destinations?
There are so many beautiful places and new cultures to discover. Being a Mediterranean, I definitely prefer warm places with beaches or islands. I have visited over a dozen countries and I still have more countries I would like to visit. There is so much to discover in this world.
My Favorite Products/Objects?
(I don’t have strong attachments to specific objects. However, I would say my laptop and my iPhone as I use them a lot to navigate onto applications I need (such as final draft) and to read my emails and of course read world news every day.
My Current Passions?
I am an avid swimmer. I try to swim 5 days a week, all year long. I love water and I also love nature. I enjoy hiking once a week a strenuous hiking trail. I am very physically active and it helps me stay sane.
