What should everyone try at least once?

Hands on volunteer work. It amazes me how many people have never actually gotten involved in anything good or meaningful. Even if you don’t have a cause that you naturally gravitate to or feel strongly about, everyone should be helping the world in some way and feel the satisfaction of actually getting involved with something. Go work in a soup kitchen, walk a dog at a shelter, or even collect donations for an organization. There are endless ways to be involved and I know so many good people who have never done even the simplest things which is shocking to me. The feeling of knowing you have actually helped someone or something is addictive and wonderful, and I think something that would make the world a better place if more people experienced and realized how good it feels to do even the easiest of good deeds.

My Tip of the Day: Make it your priority to equip yourself with the skills and tools to succeed. Also, take the time to reflect on your purpose, and then chase it with zeal. True purpose will lead you on the right path every time.

My Goal of the Day: To keep making progress towards achieving my mission, and to use every minute with intention. Time is our most valuable asset. I won’t waste it.

What drink do you need to get through the day and at the end (and how many)?

  • Green tea in the morning and then a glass of water as often as possible

My Action of the Day: Inspire hope through my actions and my work with my digital newsletter, Musings.

My Tip of the Day: Keep moving your body. Make sure to get up, stretch, and walk. The best way to stay healthy is to move.

What do you love most about Your City? I love New York’s architectural beauty andthe amount of clean air and water it has for a city of its size. I also love the diversity of amazing art institutions that it offers, and that it acts as a magnet for global convening.

What are you doing at 7:00 PM – I’m hopefully home! My husband and I often have after work engagements such as art openings or talks at the Council on Foreign Relations, but we always aim to be at our apartment for dinner by 8pm.
