Eduardo Iván Muñoz: Queer Writer, Film & Theater Director

Bio:

Eduardo Iván Muñoz is a first generation Mexican-American Queer Writer, Film and Theater Director. Eduardo graduated from the Art Institute of California - Los Angeles. In 2019 Eduardo won Best Director and Best Short Play at the “Short and Sweet Hollywood Latino Theater Festival” for his play "Martha Me Tienes Harta." In 2020 he was awarded the Commemorative Medal by the Mexican Consulate of Los Angeles for "Best Music" for his one minute film “COVID del Futuro.” Eduardo has worked for TV director Millicent Shelton on shows like "Insecure", "Marvel's Runaways", and "Black-ish" Eduardo has also been a Music Video mentee of Director Daniel Duran on MV sets for Latin Music icons Jennifer Lopez and Becky G. Most recently, Eduardo was accepted into the Hola Mexico Film Festival Tomorrow's Filmmakers Today Fellowship.

My recent favorite shows are La Veneno, Mr. Corman, Hacks, The White Lotus and ZeroZeroZero. 

Some of my favorite movies are Real Women Have Curves, Y Tu Mamá También, Los Ovidados, and To Wong Foo Thanks for Everything Julie Newmar.
