Becky Braunstein: Comedian & Actor

Becky Braunstein grew up on a mountain in Eagle River, Alaska, moved to Portland, Oregon after being diagnosed with metastatic thyroid cancer and almost losing her voice forever - but she didn’t lose it, and now she won’t shut up. Becky is a uniquely enthusiastic comedian & actor with a deeply earnest, wide-eyed presence that's impossible to ignore. She has a half hour comedy special as part of Unprotected Sets on EPIX, and can be seen on Chad (TBS), Trinkets (Netflix), and Season 3 of Shrill (Hulu). Becky has been featured at nearly every top comedy festival in the country, including Bridgetown, SF Sketchfest, Limestone, Laughing Skull & Big Sky. She competed in the National Spelling Bee in 1997, is about half fluent in German, and dreams of one day living in a house with central air.

First thing you did when isolation was over...

It’s not over for me, but my first real interaction with humanity was filming for Shrill and a tv pilot, which I was very fortunate to get to do during the plague.

Hey Becky, who is the last celebrity you had brunch with?

Great question. Fabio. (100% true, I have photos)

How are your bangs & eyebrows so perfect?

Hard work & persistence.
