Kristine Banasik, Owner of K.BANASIK

Kristine Banasik is a womenswear fashion designer and sewing/design instructor based in New York City with an education in Fashion Design and Merchandising from Missouri State University. In addition to her specialized education, Kristine has years of experience within the industry including positions at Ford Models, J. Mendel, Gurhan, David Yurman and The Sewing Studio.

Kristine started her own fashion design business two years ago as a way to empower women and give back to her community. During that time, she also started teaching private one-on-one sewing classes at The Sewing Studio to encourage and inspire others to learn the craft that she is so passionate about. For more information regarding private lessons, please email [email protected].

Her first collection K.BANASIK (www.kbanasik.com) debuted in 2013 consisting of designer cocktail dresses that embodied the elegance and glamour of the 1940’s and 1950’s with a modern splash of colors and prints. While specializing in one-of-a-kind, custom-made and ready-to-wear luxury cocktail dresses and evening wear, Kristine's mission is to create, feel beautiful, and do something that makes a difference.  Every time a custom-made dress was created, a portion of the dress was donated to charity.

Kristine’s newly launched collection, K. BANASIK BEACH is an online pop-up shop (www.kbanasik.bigcartel.com). This Summer 2014 collection consists of beach essentials including poolside shorts, beach bags, and comfy lounge pants. The inspiration for this collection comes from the meditation that naturally occurs when spending downtime on the beach with loved ones.  The ocean relaxes the mind and the positivity and energy of the coast makes for an intoxicating life experience and a daily renewal of the spirit.  Kristine believes that clothes can also create that peace of mind organically when they feel soft and look beautiful. K.BANASIK BEACH reflects enjoying life with friends and family in the sun and under the stars.  Each pair of shorts is hand-made by Kristine and has been created as limited collection beach and resort wear.

Good Post. Don’t Bare Too Much Skin. Revealing the growing belly may do the trick for Britney Spears, but not many women can do that with flare. Pregnancy is the beautiful period of life, but wearing too skimpy clothes will just look tacky. buy it now
